MTE 793 - Methods of Teaching Children with Severe to Profound Disabilities


A course designed to develop instructional strategies and curriculum adaptations and accommodations needed to meet the needs of students with low incidence disabilities. Included in this category are multiple disabilities, hearing impairments, orthopedic impairments, visual impairments, autism, deaf-blindness, traumatic brain injury, deafness; methods of teaching children with severe to profound  disabilities.  Trans-disciplinary teaming, social service and professional agencies, and family and life span issues are examined.
