Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Academic Departments & Programs

The dual-level Christian counseling program leads to a master’s degree in addition to a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree has become a required credential for many counseling-related jobs. Admission into the program is limited and is based on GPA, extracurricular experience, Christian character, and demonstrated potential for success in graduate studies. Students may apply for admission after completing 60 credits of undergraduate study (30 credits of which must be in residence at Cairn). If accepted, graduate work begins in the student’s 7th semester. Upon successful completion of the program, the student earns a B.S. in Bible degree and an M.S. in Christian Counseling degree.
