A Message from the Provost

Choosing a graduate school is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. It will shape the tenor and direction of your professional life and service for years to come. Graduate programs require great investment and sacrifice on the part of you and your family. Time, money, changes in lifestyle, increased responsibility, hard work, and new experiences are all investments you’ll make to complete a quality graduate degree. We want you to know that we, the faculty and staff of PBU’s graduate programs, understand this and stand ready to work with you as partners in helping you achieve the highest quality biblical graduate education possible. We strive to do it in a way that makes graduate education accommodating, accessible, and affordable to active adults with limited resources.

The Graduate Programs at Philadelphia Biblical University are designed to help men and women accomplish 2 Timothy 2:15, “to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the Word of Truth.” Whether enrolled in the graduate Bible, Master of Divinity, Education, Educational Leadership and Administration, Organizational Leadership, or Christian Counseling program, PBU graduate students are training to accurately apply, integrate, and utilize the Bible in their chosen field of service for God. To accomplish this every one of PBU’s graduate programs and courses is thoroughly grounded in the Bible, imparting to students a biblical perspective of God, themselves, the world, and their profession. Every program and course also emphasizes the application of sound theory and contemporary research in their chosen discipline to their daily service for God. And every program and course is directed at shaping the character and personal lives of our graduate students. PBU graduate students learn that serving God requires not only knowing the Word of God and integrating it into their professional lives, but also living it 24/7!

We invite you to use this catalog to see how we can serve you in meeting your educational needs. Please don’t hesitate to contact us, or drop by campus for information or assistance. Our goal at PBU is not just to help you advance in your chosen profession, but to prepare you to be a leader in your field for a lifetime!
