SPE 789 - Special Education Student Teaching

A course in which students pursuing special education certification provide instruction and work directly with students with disabilities in academics and functional life domains. Learning from a master special education teacher, they develop and deliver lessons, implement strategies and adaptations, conduct assessments, create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and perform other functions of a special education teacher. Students also present a portfolio demonstrating their competencies. Both semesters and summer session.

Prerequisites & Notes
Completion of all required courses and other requirements. Application required. Current clearances required.
