EDU 484 - Teaching Secondary Mathematics

A methods course designed to expose the prospective mathematics teacher to the curriculum principles and standards for mathematics as published by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Pennsylvania Academic Standards 7-12. The course includes a study of the structure of mathematics, the nature of learning mathematics, and instructional models and methodology used to teach mathematics at the secondary level. Second semester. Offered alternate years.
