ACC 622 - Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting

An in-depth exploration of advanced financial accounting topics and reporting techniques. Students develop a strong understanding of complex accounting areas including business combinations and consolidation, foreign currency transactions, hedging foreign exchange risk, and reporting for segments and interim financial periods. The course further examines partnership formation, operations, and liquidations, and introduces fund accounting for both governmental and non-governmental entities, providing a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting across diverse organizational structures. First semester.
