SOC 203 - Humanity and Culture


A course that examines human nature, culture, and social institutions from both secular and Christian perspectives. The course explores the origins, functions, and purpose of culture as well as how social context informs our understanding of social institutions. Students analyze cultural complexity, social contexts, and anthropological theories while developing cultural intelligence, global awareness, and applying biblical insights to the study of sociology. Both semesters.
