The undergraduate program in Discipleship Counseling provides students with an introduction to the concepts and skills of Christian Counseling, preparing them for the many counseling related or mental health positions available to persons with an undergraduate education. Students who complete this program often further their counseling education at the graduate level at PBU or in other university graduate programs. This program offers students a fundamental understanding of biblical psychology as it is applied to persons in the context of church and parachurch ministry. Students develop an understanding of spiritual growth and the interpersonal relationship skills needed to facilitate discipleship, as well as acquire a basic understanding of a biblical view of persons, problems of living, and methods for change.
