The Campus
The Wisconsin Campus of Cairn University offers an accredited alternative to a traditional college year. WWC offers a Bible-centered curriculum taught in a recreational wilderness setting. Students are encouraged to pursue God-centered biblical wisdom and to develop a passion for lifelong learning.
Objectives
The objectives of the Wisconsin Wilderness Program are as follows:
- to teach a Bible-centered curriculum that will produce in the student a foundational knowledge of Scripture and a biblical world and life view
- to provide an environment that affords students maximum opportunities for personal discipleship and character development
- to provide a location and program that will enable students to enjoy and expand their recreational interests
- to guide students in foundational principles for future life direction
The Program
WWC provides a significant educational experience for students who are pursuing a college education or want a one-year, Bible-centered program. The curriculum is primarily biblical with some general and professional studies as well. The enrollment is limited by design to provide increased opportunities for personal guidance and discipleship, formal and informal interaction with professors, interpersonal skills development, and recreational experiences.
The recreational wilderness location provides a fun and positive atmosphere for outdoor recreational and educational experiences and gives students a place away from normal distractions where they can better focus on God-centered personal development.

Accreditation
As an extension of Cairn, WWC is accredited, and credits are transferable to academic programs at other colleges and universities. The number of credits accepted will depend on the institution and major chosen.
Facilities
The Wisconsin Wilderness Campus utilizes the facilities of Lake Owen Camp in Cable, Wisconsin. This 16-acre facility is located on beautiful Lake Owen and is surrounded by the Chequamegon National Forest’s one million acres of woodland and lakes.
Lake Owen Lodge houses the cafeteria, library, computer lab, and offices. The student dorms are located in two beautiful and spacious three-story buildings overlooking the lake. The classroom building houses a classroom on the second floor and a student lounge on the first floor. The gymnasium is used for volleyball, weight-lifting, in-line skating/skateboarding, and general exercise. Three homes on campus house the resident staff families.
