Return to: Academic Departments & Programs
The four-year Discipleship Counseling program serves two purposes. First, it purposes to prepare students who intend to pursue graduate-level training in counseling ministry and professional practice by providing them with a foundational knowledge in Christian psychology, counseling skills, and spiritual formation that will partially prepare them for a degree in professional practice. Second, it purposes to assist students who are interested in counseling-related ministry by providing them with a core set of counseling concepts and skills emphasizing personal growth that will make them more effective in church and parachurch-based ministries that stress the role of mentoring and discipleship. Upon successful completion of the program, the student earns a B.S. in Bible degree.
