TESOL Minor

The program prepares students to teach English as a second or foreign language in various contexts around the world. Upon completion of this program (in conjunction with a bachelor’s degree program), students will have a minor in TESOL noted on their transcripts.

TSL 211 - Foundations of Teaching English Learners Credits: 3
TSL 341 - Linguistics and Language Learning Credits: 3
TSL 442 - English Grammar and Pronunciation Credits: 3
TSL 443 - Advanced ESL Methods and Assessment Credits: 3
TSL 444 - Language, Culture, and Community Credits: 3
TSL 492 - ESL Practicum Credits: 3
or TSL 493 - Teaching Experience I Credits: 3
or TSL 494 - Teaching Experience II Credits: 3
Students eligible for PA PK-12 ESL Program Specialist certification should take TSL 492; All others should take either TSL 493 or TSL 494.
