The Discipleship Counseling program is primarily for students desiring a counseling ministry in or through the local church. This program may also serve as a base for more advanced training in pastoral and professional counseling. Upon completion of the program, the student receives a B.S. in Bible degree.
A study in Discipleship Counseling is useful for students desiring to obtain self-understanding; an understanding of human behavior; the background and skills needed for intervention work with individuals, families and groups; the process of spiritual growth; and the interpersonal skills needed to facilitate discipleship and mentoring in the local church.
