MTE 751 - Technology in Education

A course designed to promote critical thinking on the applications of technologies in the educational setting. Technologies discussed include the microcomputer, peripherals, software development, video, broadcast and cable television, distance learning, laser video disk, robotics, CD-ROM, DVD, multimedia, hypermedia, digital photos, the Internet, and virtual reality. The technologies will be critiqued for their effects on student learning, development, and attitudes. (Available as a e-course.)
