MEL 761 - Principalship: Building a Community of Learners

A course designed to examine the theory and practice of educational leadership.  Emphasis is placed on interactive models of leadership that are conducive to building a community of learners within the school.  Supervision of faculty and staff, the implementation of professional development plans and the ability to be innovative in the culture of the school are applied to the role of the principal.  Each student is challenged to develop a philosophy of leadership.
