MTE 614 - Teaching Science in the Elementary School

A course of study in which students examine and use models and methodologies for teaching science derived from the nature of science and the nature of the pupil. An emphasis is placed on both the concepts and the skills of science developed through the inquiry model. Students are exposed to National Science Education Standards and to PA Academic standards. First semester.
